Today the Octagons maths group used fidget spinners to investigate rotational symmetry.
They then went on to devise their own fidget spinner challenges where pupils had to estimate how many times they could carry out specific tasks before the spin ended. Following this they then carried out the challenge to discover the actual total. Some of the fantastic challenges included:
*How many hand stands can you complete?
*How many times can you write your name?
*How many times can you recite the alphabet?
*What number can you count up to?
Why don’t you give some a try at home? 😁👍🏻
