On Thursday P6/7 and P7 got the opportunity to take part in two fantastic events. Firstly we visited Aberdeen Arts Centre for the Booked Festival where we enjoyed listening to parts of the story the Pavee and the Buffer Girl written by Soibhan Dowd. We also watched Emma Shoard create mesmerising live illustrations throughout the reading.
Next we walked to Aberdeen Sports Village where we were lucky enough to take part in the Queen’s Commonwealth Baton Relay. It is making a 142,915 mile journey over 388 days ahead of the event in the Gold Coast in 2018. Whilst we were there we also got to participate in taster sessions of basketball, netball and badminton. A great day was had by all!
